Lynn has held Dental Hygiene faculty appointments at Thomas Jefferson University and Community College of Philadelphia.
She has served as a Corporate Council member for Dimensions in Dental Hygiene representing Nobel Biocare and Orascoptic. As a past president of the Philadelphia Dental Hygiene Society and a ten-year attendee of Career Fusion, Lynn has spent her career helping dental professionals explore options for having their best careers.

Brian Strother has been in the Environmental, Health and Safety field for over 30 years. In his early years, hazardous waste operations filled his days while working for the Defense Department in San Diego.
He was the Hazardous Waste Manager for Naval Station San Diego. It was during this time working for the US Navy that he became experienced in understanding regulations, performing onsite inspections and providing effective communication to peers, staff and customers.

Sarah Hornsby is a registered dental hygienist, orofacial myofunctional therapist, speaker, mentor, and entrepreneur. She’s the founder and creator of MyoMentor, a comprehensive myofunctional therapy training program for healthcare professionals with over 1,100 graduates as of 2023.
Sarah is a provider advocate as much as she is an advocate for her patients. Her goal is to empower dentists, hygienists, speech-language pathologists, and other providers to elevate the standards of care by helping their patients through healthy breathing, airway dentistry, myofunctional therapy, and multi-disciplinary collaboration.

Dr Budenz is Emeritus Professor in the Department of Biomedical Sciences and in the Department of Diagnostic Sciences at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, California. He received his graduate degree in Anatomy from the University of California, Los Angeles, and his dental degree from the University of California, San Francisco. He has more than 40 years of private general practice and faculty practice experience in San Francisco, has served as a general dentistry clinical instructor, a clinical group practice administrator, and as Chair of the Department of Diagnostic and Emergency Services at Pacific. He has also taught anatomy, and many other dental courses, at Pacific since 1984. He has lectured extensively, both nationally and internationally, on local anesthesia, oral medicine and oral pathology, cariology, and the anatomical basis of dentistry topics, and every year since 2005, he has been recognized as an Annual Leader in Continuing Dental Education by "Dentistry Today".

Dr Paresh Shah has a special interest in cosmetics, implants and smile makeovers, and has used digital technology in his practice for more than 15 years. He received his dental degree from the University of Manitoba in 1991 and did a general practice residency at the University of Manitoba in 1992. Dr Shah holds a master’s degree in physiology and has a proficiency certificate in esthetic dentistry from the University of Buffalo. He is also a graduate of Misch Implant Institute and the Kois Center in Seattle. Dr. Shah has served as adjunct faculty at Arthur A Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, a clinical mentor in the post-graduate program in esthetic dentistry at the University of Minnesota, and a clinical instructor at the University of Manitoba Dental School. Every year millions of people are human trafficked and forced into labor or commercial sex work. Dental professionals are key players in combating human trafficking as they are uniquely equipped with the knowledge to identify abnormalities and signs of abuse in the head and neck. This program aims to break down misconceptions associated with human trafficking and human trafficking victims. Amber Lovatos, RDH, BSDH, has blazed trails personally and professionally for more than 10 years in the dental health space. Celebrated as her family’s first college graduate, Amber holds a bachelor's degree in dental hygiene from The University of Texas School of Dentistry. As a clinician, educator, author, mentor, and champion for public health issues, she’s inspired colleagues across the industry with her empowering story that includes her triumph over abuse and lack of oral health access to discovering her identity as “The Latina RDH.” Amber has dedicated her dental hygiene career to organizing community outreach events throughout the United States and supporting those who need her the most. With a focus on bringing affordable and accessible preventative dental care to communities like hers, Amber currently volunteers for a nonprofit dental clinic providing care to survivors of abuse and human trafficking and low-income patients who are uninsured. As a Latina leader in the dental hygiene community, her work has majorly consisted of bringing ethical care to her comunidad and providing care in rural parts of Texas using portable dental equipment including bringing free dental care to children in title-one schools. Amber is also the co-author of Smiles Por Vida a Spanish; Spanglish not for profit children’s dental book that highlights the joy of a clean smile. Her recent work includes partnering with Crest & Oral-B on their Closing America’s Smile Gap outreach initiative to serve communities across the US in their efforts to bring oral health access, education, and representation. Amber also serves as Crest Oral-B’s partner and consultant in providing education opportunities, resources within dental communities, screenings to patients during nationwide dental access events, helping to deliver products to communities in need, and much more. Through all her incredible work, Amber has been the recipient of numerous national and state awards and academic scholarships, including being named ADEA’s 2018 Crest Oral-B Dental Hygienists Pursuing Academic Careers, 2021’s Dimensions of Dental Hygiene Six Dental Hygienists You Want to Know, and 2022’s RDH Award of Distinction. Amber is also the recipient of TIME Magazine’s 2023 TIME 101 honoree award for her dedication to her work. Most recently Amber was awarded the The Latinx House inaugural Icon award for Health. With this recognition, she hopes to continue spreading opportunities to all looking to make an impact in the oral health space.

With estimates as high as 65% or more of the population having periodontal disease and 95% of the population having an oral inflammatory condition needing attention, it has never been more important to make an accurate diagnosis. Periodontal disease is now cross-referenced to 57 systemic diseases. Failure to diagnose creates a missed opportunity to provide better health for your patients and put them on a path to improved oral care. In addition, it’s a missed opportunity for driving practice revenue. In this program, we will look at some real case examples to springboard and active dialogue.

Dr Thompson began his dental career at age eighteen, working as an in-house laboratory technician. He graduated from University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 1996 and then completed a one-year hospital-based V. A. Residency In 1997. He then bought an established private practice in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, and continues to practice there today under the practice name, Integrative Oral Medicine.
Dr Thompson has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education at the Kois Center in Seattle, Washington, directed by Dr John Kois. In 2015 he was offered and accepted a faculty position teaching about Personalized Periodontal Medicine. In 2016, he added the Wellness Dentistry topic to his teaching role. In 2020 he created a two-day course teaching dental hygienists how to transform routine dental cleanings into unique experiences of personalized periodontal medicine.
In addition to his dental training, Dr Thompson completed a Fellowship in Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine through the American Academy of Anti-Aging, Regenerative and Functional Medicine. He has published professionally in dental journals and has more than one chapter in Integrative Cardiovascular Medicine textbooks. In 2015 Dr Thompson founded the Wellness Dentistry Network, a community of dentists with a keen awareness of how oral conditions affect whole body health. There are over 100 Wellness Dentistry Network offices spread throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe.
Dr Thompson is consulted by many medical and dental companies developing or promoting products for health applications. He is a key opinion leader in periodontal medicine and collaborates with physicians routinely for enhanced patient care. He is passionate about teaching professionals and the public about the significance of oral conditions that negatively affect whole body health.

Drawing from his extensive in-office experience and years of expertise as an Align Faculty Member, Christopher will impart valuable knowledge beneficial to both seasoned practitioners and those considering the integration of scanning technology into their practice. While the iTero scanner will be the primary focus, the principles and practices discussed will be invaluable to any dental practice engaged in or considering the adoption of nearly any scanning technology.

Christopher Damurjian, RDH, BS, MS, graduated from Drew University with a bachelor’s degree in biology and environmental science and then a master’s in science in biology at New York University College of Art and Science. He also completed his degree in hygiene and was the SADHA President. At NYU, Christopher was awarded honors at the dental hygiene program's graduation and was recognized by The New York Dental Hygienists' Association by receiving the President's Award for Student Excellence. He is currently practicing in New York and New Jersey with a local anesthesia license and has the distinction of being a Platinum Plus Invisalign provider. Christopher's goal is to provide high-quality care for all his patients and educate them on maintaining excellent oral health. When not working in private practice, he enjoys teaching as an Adjunct Clinical Instructor at NYU College of Dentistry and focusing on pediatric outreach and education.
